After a somewhat loud night, I got up early and kind of refreshed. The lake was beautifully calm and it was really chilly.
It took me a while to pack up. Still need more routine. I headed Northeast and climbed the Rennsteig up to 800 m. It was the first solid climb of this tour.
Then I followed the river Ilm to Klettbach near Erfurt where I met our friends Dörte and Andreas as well as my wife Carolin who had come by car.
Andreas was the master of the BBQ. We had a very nice evening together with a lot of catching up and chit chat.
