I had breakfast together with Roos and we talked about life in general. She had done several bike tours of up to 5.5 months before. Also, she is a climate activist with Extinction Rebellion and is specialized on climbing, i.e. occupying trees, building tree houses and letting down displays from high buildings. She told me what she not wanted to do in life (e.g. not losing her idealism) and how she was unsure what she actually wanted. A fascinating young lady with a lot of potential.

Around 10am we parted ways. She went towards the coast and I headed north. For 65km, I followed the 365 and then turned towards the 95.
Today I saw a big (1m) black snake on the street and another rain deer. I also saw moose tracks – but no moose yet unfortunately.
After 30km into the trip, I met Elke and Edgar, both retired and in top shape, from Bautzen. They had already heard about me from Claudio and Simon, the two Swiss guys I had met earlier in Sundsvall. Such a small world. Now we are all connected on Strava and follow our tracks.
Unfortunately, my bike Rosinante is developing some vibrations. When I checked the rear wheel, I found a broken spoke. Will need to fix this tomorrow first thing. Hopefully, she will last until North Cape.
Today the distance to the next shop was 65km! No gas station, no nothing in between. It is really good to have supplies with you here.
When I arrived at my camping site in Arvidsjaur, it felt like paradise. Only 150km to go to the Arctic Circle now.

Learning of the day: Don’t worry and enjoy every moment!
