The night had been kind of cold and my travel pillow had lost its air. Somehow, I did not get much sleep.
I made breakfast by the lake in a little wooden palace which I had just for myself. I was watching cars come and go dropping off kids and finally figured that this was a place that hosted summer camps for kids during the school break of 2 months. Now it all made sense.
The micro chalets behind me were for parents who wanted to spend time with their kids here.

I was in the saddle at my usual time and was getting ready to follow the big Saint Laurent River for another day.
But before, I made a quick stop a an outdoor equipment store and got myself a new pillow. Its a tiny luxury.
On my route today, I saw a lot of Catholic Churches, all build around the beginning of the last century.

Also, there were a lot statues of Jesus and Mary. It felt like cycling through France following the Loire.
Just before lunchtime, I bumped into this guy, also known as the „Fellow in Yellow“.

His name is Trevor Redmond, he was from Halifax originally, and was running through Canada pushing a giant cart with all his stuff on it. And people think, I am crazy!
He was raising money for inclusion of people with impaired mobility because he had almost lost his leg in an accident once. When he was not running, he was a motivational speaker and worked in a zoo in Calgary.
He was giving me a pep talk on how I should own the road and I figured that these were probably phrases from his speech.
He ran on and I stood there for a while shaking my head.
A little later, I arrived at a place called „Petit Bonheur“ and had a decent lunch consisting of a salad and a burger.
I met some other cyclists and we chatted a bit. They were not going far.
In the afternoon, I was struggling a little bit with keeping up the pace. I made more stops than usual.
One of the stops was at a local apple farmer who had put up a stand by the road. He let me pick 5 apples, that was all I could take onboard.
As the evening approached, I needed to push myself a little to make it to a nice campsite. I found one on second attempt and started my evening program.

This time, I used my ThermaCell so that I could sit outside without getting eaten alive by the mosquitoes.
As the night broke, I went into my comfy bed.

Hilft TermaCell wirklich?
Ja total.
