As I am sitting at the airport waiting for my plane home, I think back on the past weeks with a lot gratitude.
If you ever wonder if people are naturally good and hospitable I recommend a long-distance bicycle tour through Canada.
Of all the 14 countries I have cycled in on my tour around the world so far, I. have been most amazed by how friendly, open and supportive Canadians are across the board.
I have had countless encounters with perfect strangers who would chat me up at a gas station, on a ferry, or on the campground and give me the feeling that I am not alone and that I could ask them for help if I needed to.
No A few encounters were very special though and I would like to thank the following persons explicitly:
- Aaron for hosting me once more in Toronto and get me to watch the first tennis match in my life
- Tamara and Kosta at Toronto Airport who helped me to finally get Rosinante and my luggage
